What's New?

The Hero Xoom 160 is a maxi-scooter offering from Hero MotoCorp that was showcased at EICMA 2023. The Xoom 160 is a larger version of the Xoom 110 that currently sells in India. Apart from the name, both scooters are completely different in terms of design and mechanicals.

The Xoom 160 follows an adventure theme featuring a muscular body along with a tall stance. Starting from the front, the scooter features a split LED headlamp, a tall transparent visor, and a rugged body with an underbone chassis design. It gets a large stepped seat, with footboards on either side and an upswept exhaust.

The ADV maxi-scooter is suspended by a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is done with disc brakes at both ends, equipped with dual-channel ABS. The scooter rides on 14-inch wheels shod with block-pattern tyres.

The Xoom 160 will be powered by a 156cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder mill. The company hasn’t yet disclosed the power figures of the engine but expect it to feature Hero’s i3s technology.

Expect Hero to launch the Xoom 160 in the price range of Rs 1.40 lakh to Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). On the competition front, the Xoom 160 will rival the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Aprilia SR160.
