Engine and transmission: The new-gen Superb gets several drivetrains including a 1.5-litre turbo petrol with mild hybrid system that displaces 148 bhp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol that’s good for 201 bhp/262 bhp, a 2.0-litre diesel with power figures ranging from 148 bhp and 191 bhp. There is a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with plug-in hybrid that’s backed by a 25.7 kWh battery and is good for 201 bhp. All the engines are paired with a 7-speed DCT save for the hybrid that gets a 6-speed DCT.
Features: The Superb is equipped with a 13-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control, ventilated seats with heating function, 10-inch driver display, head-up display, cooled wireless charger, powered front seats with massage function, ambient lights and sunroof.
Safety features: The safety net comprises 10 airbags, ESC and ADAS features like lane keep assist, auto emergency braking and cross road assist.
Rivals: The Skoda Superb 2024 competes against the Toyota Camry.
