Expert Review on Maruti Suzuki Ignis
Pros
- Refined Engine
- Youthful Design
- Value For Money
Cons
- No Turbo Petrol
- Pricey Top Variants
- No Diesel
The facelift Ignis offers the same driving experience as before. The engine continues to have that spunk, especially in the mid-range making driving in the city an easy experience. The throttle response is progressive and crisp and the engine has that sense of refinement too. The car does well on the highway too and one can easily cruise at triple digit speeds all day long. For a young family of four, the Ignis fits the purpose, especially with its quirky but adorable styling and practicality.
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is a uniquely designed vehicle produced by India’s leading car manufacturer, and it is unlike anything else you have ever seen. The Maruti Suzuki Ignis comes with decent features and an appealing design, as mentioned. It also offers a moderately comfortable driving experience. The Ignis has been around for some time now and has managed to draw its own set of faithful buyers. Does it measure up to the competition? Here’s finding out.
The overall appearance of the 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis has been improved, and the car now has a brand-new chrome grille, a reworked bumper, and beefier skid plates. The Ignis comes standard with a striking rear spoiler and roof rails, all of which contribute to the vehicle's aggressive appearance. Ignis is outfitted with an intimidating chrome grille that makes a strong first impression and adds a level of toughness to the vehicle's appearance. The Ignis has a high SUV-like stance, which makes it easier to get in and out of the vehicle. Additionally, the seating position is elevated, which provides an excellent vision of the road. The Ignis comes standard with striking 15-inch all-black alloy wheels, all-around cladding, and sturdy new front and rear skid plates, all of which contribute to the vehicle's already impressively high level of durability. The Ignis comes standard with LED Projector Headlamps and LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRL), both of which contribute to increased visibility and accentuate the vehicle's more aggressive new appearance. Ignis comes standard with fashionable fog lamps that not only improve visibility but also add an air of sophistication to the redesigned rugged appearance.
In general, the design of the Maruti Suzuki Ignis is a tribute to the company's commitment to offering cars that are of excellent quality while remaining within reasonable pricing ranges.
When you're driving in the Ignis, though, you won't have to deal with the challenges that come with the city streets. The Ignis is powered by a nimble 1.2-liter VVT gasoline engine, which allows it to produce 81 horsepower at 6000 revolutions per minute (rpm) and 113 Nm of torque at 4200 rpm. The transmission is connected to a manual gearbox that has five speeds and is also equipped with technology that allows for automatic gear shifts. Both a manual gearbox with five speeds and an automatic gearbox with automatic manual shifts are connected to the engine, depending on the variant. Ignis is capable of reaching speeds of up to 140 kilometers per hour, which can be referred to as the vehicle's "top speed." However, taking into consideration your safety, driving at such high speeds is not something that is advised.
According to the ARAI mileage certification, the Maruti Suzuki Ignis 2019 achieves a mileage of 20.89 kilometers per litre, both in the city and on the highways in actual driving conditions. It is considered pretty good for a car in its class.
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is a fantastic choice for buyers who are looking for a vehicle that is not only cost-effective but also delivers a driving experience that is enjoyable and satisfies their needs. The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is a joy to navigate in and around the city thanks to its capable handling and relatively low fuel consumption. This makes it an ideal vehicle for city driving. The vehicle features a variety of built-in safety features, including a Safe Steering Assist system and traction control, amongst other options. These safety features are standard on the model. The automobile offers a very enjoyable driving experience overall, and it is quite simple to drive and manoeuvre around tight spaces. Additionally, the suspension is exceptionally fluid, which contributes to the extremely comfortable nature of the ride. Additionally, the engine is quite robust, and it is able to deliver satisfactory acceleration. The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is, all things considered, a fantastic option for anybody looking for a car that is both inexpensive and provides a top-notch experience behind the wheel.
A surprising level of nimbleness is offered by the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, in addition to its refined and silky-smooth driving experience. This trait makes the Maruti Suzuki Ignis stand out from other vehicles in its price group. When driving on the road, the car has a feeling of well-balanced stability because to its good tyre grip and precise steering, both of which contribute to the sensation. The acceleration is also outstanding, providing good speed boosts from low speeds up to highway speeds without feeling overly aggressive or twitchy around town or on curves. This is a feature that is available from low speeds all the way up to highway speeds. This is due to the fact that the turbochargers in the engine are not utilized during the acceleration.
The Ignis provides all the conveniences that are need for extended journeys, including seating for five people and a large amount of storage space. The inside of the vehicle has a pleasant appearance thanks to the use of high-quality materials, and the journey itself is easy and relaxing. You'll feel very comfortable in the front seat thanks to the substantial amount of headroom and the ample quantity of legroom.
The interior of the Maruti Suzuki Ignis Facelift boasts a floating dual-tone dashboard, toggle switches, and carbon fibre patterns, which together create an experience that is unmatched in its likeness to that of a cockpit. For improved visibility on the roadways, there are sun visors for both the driver and the co-driver, as well as accent lighting for the meter, and a headlight leveller.
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is the ideal traveling companion for the challenging roadways that are found in the city because it has been engineered to handle the mayhem that is inherent in the urban jungle. The much-anticipated Maruti Suzuki Ignis Facelift 2019 has a plethora of new and improved safety measures in addition to the vehicle's already impressive list of upgrades. The stunning beauty comes equipped with an infotainment system that has been cleverly combined with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and MirrorLink technologies. The car has LED projector headlamps that are equipped with daytime running lights (DRLs), which contribute to the vehicle's enhanced aesthetic appeal from the front. The system is paired with four speakers and two tweeters, and the audio controls for them are aesthetically located on the steering wheels.
The Ignis Facelift comes equipped with a day/night IRVM, a push-start button, and remote keyless entry, all of which contribute to the ease and comfort of the driving experience for the driver. The vehicle features an automated air conditioning system that creates a refreshing breeze inside, outside rear-view mirrors that can be automatically folded and adjusted, head restraints for the back seats that can be adjusted, luggage lighting, and a parcel tray.
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis Facelift comes equipped with a safety mechanism that guarantees two airbags for the driver and the co-driver, in addition to ABS with EBD, which is included as standard equipment across all of the models. The body that is produced is guided by the HEARTECT platform, which offers the highest possible level of protection for all passengers through the highest possible levels of precision and accuracy. This stunning vehicle comes equipped with rear parking sensors and a camera for enhanced precision, making it an absolute dream to park. There is a reminder for the driver to fasten their seatbelt, a reminder to keep the key on the left side of the ignition, an overtaking turn indicator, and a reminder to turn on the headlamps. An LED mount stop lamp, ISOFIX, seatbelt pretensioners with force limiters, rear wiper, rear defogger, and an engine immobilizer are all included in this vehicle. In terms of stopping power, the vehicle is equipped with disc brakes up front and drum brakes in the back. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a panic alert that can be triggered by a remote sensor in the event that something goes wrong when the driver is behind the wheel.
The Ignis is available in a total of seven different iterations, which are designated as Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Delta AMT, Zeta AMT, and Alpha, and Alpha AMT respectively. The Maruti Ignis Sigma is the model with the lowest price tag, coming in at Rs. 5.35 Lakh, while the Maruti Ignis Alpha AMT is the model with the highest price tag, coming in at Rs. 7.72 Lakh.

The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is one of the vehicles that compete in India's market for mid-size hatchbacks. The Maruti Suzuki Swift, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Citroen C3, and the Tata Punch are some of the automobiles that are its rivals.
The Maruti Suzuki Celerio is only offered with a 1.0-liter regular gasoline engine that may be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automated continuously variable gearbox (AMT). Only a 1.2-liter regular gasoline engine is offered for purchase in the Maruti Suzuki Ignis. This engine can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission.
The standard 1.2-liter gasoline engine in the Citroen C3 has a 5-speed manual transmission, whereas the turbocharged 1.2-liter gasoline engine has a 6-speed manual transmission. The regular gasoline engine generates 82 horsepower at 5750 revolutions per minute and 115 newton meters of torque at 3750 revolutions per minute. The turbo gasoline engine generates 110 horsepower at 5500 revolutions per minute and 190 newton meters of torque at 1750 revolutions per minute.
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is only offered with a regular gasoline engine that has a capacity of 1.2 liters. Both a manual and an automatic transmission with 5 speeds and AMT are available as choices for the transmission.
Feature and engine-wise, the Ignis does make for a good choice, although the Tata Punch and Citroen C3 have more design appeal and resemble smaller crossover-SUVs. The Ignis also lacks features in comparison to several of these rivals, notably the Grand i10 Nios and Maruti Suzuki Swift. However, it still makes for a value pick at this price point.
Maruti Suzuki aims to market the current generation of the Ignis as either a hatchback or a compact crossover. However, in reality, it is a compact hatchback that provides outstanding handling and usability in addition to the support of the extensive service network that Maruti maintains. Having said that, the cramped cabin and eccentric appearance might not appeal to everyone's sense of style. The driving experience provided by the redesigned Ignis is identical to how it was previously. The engine still possesses that spunk, especially in the mid-range, which makes navigating through the city a pleasant and uncomplicated experience. The engine offers a sense of refinement in addition to having a progressive and snappy throttle response. Additionally, the vehicle performs admirably on the highway, where it is possible to effortlessly maintain triple-digit speeds for the duration of a single day. The Ignis is a good choice for a young family consisting of four people, particularly due to the fact that it has a quirky but adorable style and is practical enough for regular usage in the city.

Really beauty and Best Car
By Manu Od @ Nov 28, 2018 03:58 AM
5.0
I have Ignis Delta/ petrol. I am very happy to have this car. Thank u Maurti. This car design in completely on new platform with already tested engine. No need to tell about exterior design. Its superb, just European style car. No one car in this segment have this beautiful style. Really unconventional design. I have ridden 1176 KM with 18.7 KM/ LTR average. Just showing on tachometer. 1197 CC engine tune perfectly with this design, shockers and platform. CABIN NOISE IS ZERO. pin drop silent inside the cabin. 180 MM ground clearance along with 15th wheels provide, good quality of riding indian road condition. Wheel base to too good in this segment so LEG ROOM inside the cabin is very very good. Even in rear side also. 5 persons can sit very comfortable. many times we did it. Two times I drive it 100 KM/hour. Its seems controllable and stable. Turning radius to short. Easy movement in city traffic as well as torque is also high than other car. not need change gear even in slow speed. driver seat in very good position so visibility is clear even on Right side also. Important points are, IGNIS have all require safety feature ABS, EBD, AIRBAG, TCT if break assist(BA) also should be inside, but it ok. Maruti is thinking about safety for Indian, its good for us. HENCE BEST DRIVABILITY, VISIBILITY, SAFETY. GOOD AVERAGE. ITS COMPLETE PRACTICAL CAR. DESIGN, PERFORMANCE. EVERYTHING IS GOOD IN THIS CAR. I am just missing touch screen infotainment system. But it ok. I am very happy to have this, and hope it will continue.

I Initially booked Maruti Suzuki Celerio ZXI O model which was costing me 6.30 lakhs on road. on the day of submitting my documents i saw Nexa and Ignis. It struck my eye immediately and i asked the sales guy the best price he can offer and i got Ignis Zeta in 6.70 lakhs with additional warranty. Now if we check I am sure in 6.70 no one is offering these features, performance, styling what Ignis has to Offer. Pros: Amazing Power to weight ratio Amazing mileage (20+ on highways and 17.5 to 18 in City) very refined engine smooth as butter amazing driving experience on highways as well in city. Very comfortable seats(Bucket seats) Safety Features and entertainment is major Plus in this price range. Ground clearance is superb you will feel comfortable on bumpy roads. Boot space is superb 260 ltrs can store lot of stuff in your car's Boot. The car looks very elegant. Reviewing after completing 1500Kms Cons: i do not have any complaints as no brands offered me above features in 6.70lakhs on road.

Best in class. Though the legroom in back row is less but who cares. It's for driver who's gonna ride it. I bought this Model a weel back. Rolled 800kms till date(in a week). Mileage is good. I hope after 2nd or 3d service it's mileage might increase as claimed by company ppl and few of my frnds who have a great knowledge about diesel motors. Driving through Gurgaon and Delhi traffic is like a piece of cake in this car. Anyone who has a mid budget can go for this car. Also you can bargain for this car as it's not so popular as compared to Baleno. My Onroad price was 7.2L something. I got it for 6.65L.(Gurgaon). Got the best deal (I guess). Compact car preferable for 2 - 3 ppl. Stability on Highway is good. maneuverability in traffic is good. Pedals are bit stiff, so is steering. But we can't compare it with Hyundai. All in all. Good car with "hatke" looks.

I bought alpha petrol ignis in Feb 2018 and I must say it was the finest decision of mine to go for it. U would have probably heard from people it's a bad car, it has a body roll. It's completely bullish. Trust me I drove it several times at 140+ , I never felt it and the driving experience is superbly at par with any costly car. It deserves 5 stars. The only downside of the car is back sea a bit, it's not as comfortable as I10 or any other car or so but anyday it will work. But seeing the price range it's the best car. Cheers maruti. I got average of 19+ on highways and in city it strikes 17-18. Isn't it an economic car in the market. Please go for alpha variety. Trust me in 7.15 lakhs u are getting features worth 10+ lakhs car. It's stiffness and suspension is better than baleno.. I went to take baleno but ended up taking ignis.. Love u ignis????

I have IGNIS/ Delta/ MT. first of all, IGNIS price is not high. its feature loaded car in this segment and its value of money. We can compare it with Grand i10- MAGNA. Ignis Delta have following features Two Airbags,ABS , EBD, TCT and steering mounted controls, Tilts adjustment, Ground clearance 180 MM, Short Turning radius, Music system, Soft gear shifting, drive seat high is good position. Over all.BEST DIVISIBILITY, VISIBILITY , AVERAGE, SAFETY , GOOD MOVEMENT IN CITY. A SINGLE FEATURE DONT CONTAIN IN GRAND I10 now Price in my udaipur city is IGNIS 6.1 lacs and Grand i10 is 6.05 lacs. i am getting 20 KMPL in my city. torque of IGNIS is too good. no need to change gear frequently even slow speed. Rear Seat for 3rd passenger can be more. but its ok. hence its best car for me.
